Hope for a New Day

"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain." Hebrews 6:19 (NIV)

Firm and secure. While this crazy world keeps spinning around you, when you feel like its spinning out of control and crashing all around you. When you feel like you're about to fight your last battle. When you cry out to God that you can't take it anymore. This must be the last trial because you don't think you'll make it through.

You have this hope. As an anchor for YOUR soul.

You have hope to stand on.

Firm and Secure.

"Now hope does not disappoint, because the Love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us." Romans 5:5 (NKJV)

When you stand on hope, when the love of God is your anchor in life, you will not be disappointed.

Stand on hope. Let God's love be the anchor of your life. The anchor for your soul during the ups and downs.

"Dear God if today I lose hope, remind me that Your plans are better than my dream."

Who's the Real Bad Guy?

I know I've been pretty upset lately. While being upset if you asked me I would have told you "no I'm not mad at this person or that person just at the situation." Which was true. But then when you, or me, let the anger or the hurt towards a situation sit and fester like an open wound we tend to look for someone, anyone, to blame.

I'm guilty of that. I'm a hundred percent guilty of blaming every bad thing that is happening in my life on certain people at that time.

Truth is, it's not their fault. Its human nature.

People make mistakes.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23. That includes "the bad guy" of your situation. That includes you. That includes me.

Have we ever taken a second to look ourselves in the mirror and realize that yes while we're being hurt by someone else that the bad guy in this situation is ourselves. I'm the one, who won't let it go. I'm the one who won't go to the person to ask for forgiveness or forgive them.

Speaking for myself, I have a hard time getting over things. The truth here is the bad guy, is me. I'm the one who is letting the hurt and the anger fester in my heart. That's a sin all in of itself.

How am I letting God use me, or how do I expect to hear from God if all I have is this open wound in my heart that I'm letting fester?

"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be KIND to one another, TENDERHEARTED, FORGIVING one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." Ephesians 4:31&32

I don't know about you but I'm feeling like I need to ask for some forgiveness in my life.

Have a beautiful day!

Seasons

"To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven" Ecclesiastes 3:1

Seasons Change. We eagerly await the crisp air of fall after going through three months of temperatures higher then 70. The first snow fall close to the holidays ignites a festiveness in us. Seeing the first flower after all the snow melts away give us hope of new life. Then as the temperatures get warmer we look to the possibility of adventure and ice pops.

Have you ever thought about the situations going on in your life?

When it started, and when it came to an end.

That is a season. You go into this season of your life, however long it may be, one way and you come out better. You come out a new creation every time. But don't get comfortable. Because right around the corner is another season. Another time for you to grow.

We sometimes cry out to God asking why. More than sometimes. I know that is my personal cry to God every time something in my life is hard. God, why?

That is okay.

But our second cry would be beneficial (I am saying beneficial here because this is just what I think you should do but I don't want to tell you what you should or shouldn't be doing, that is ultimately up to you.)  if it sounded something like "God thank you for this time to grow."

I don't know what you're going through at this very moment. But I do know that the creator of the universe is reaching down to you, and He is carrying you. He wants you to know that you're going to come through this. Changed. For the better, if you let Him. Run into your Daddy's arms.

Season's change. God's constant.

Praying for you all!

Let me begin,

Let me begin with saying I am far from perfect. The day I become perfect is the day I die. This is a blog. Just in case you were wondering. Truth is I love God. So you will rarely find a post that isn't about Him. These posts are just how I see the world and life. There might be pictures involved occasionally. I would also love to hear from you about opinions you have on my posts.

Let me begin with me. My name is Kassandra. I am 19 years old. I have little experience mixed with strong opinions. If you know me I am very quiet about my opinions and anything that involves any kind of confrontation. So yes I would gladly choose to hide behind a computer screen.

I got the name of the blog from the passage in Mathew 6. Life has a whole bunch to worry about. God says not to though. What do you gain if you spend your whole life worrying about the "what ifs"
or the whats happening. God also says to cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you. (1 Peter5:7)

I know that is definitely easier said then done. Life is hard. There are so many bad things that happen. But there is also so much good. The sun shinning on your face, your toes in the sand. The chill of the first snow fall of winter. When you say a little prayer and it happens instantly.

Now I know that last one seems a little too good to be true, but I have proof. I love those machines in supermarkets that gives you the toys for like 50 cents. Well one day I went up to one and saw that it was squishy animals. My response "You know God, it would be really cool if  I got an elephant." (I love elephants) My little prayer. Having faith I put my money in the machine and turned the nob. Out popped a little yellow elephant.

You must be thinking that's just a coincidence. See I believe there is no such thing as coincidence. I believe in divine appointments. I believe in God working everything in everyone's life. What you call coincidence, I call a God thing. He is the only one who could have worked that thing out for that specific time.

The picture above is one of those God things. I just happened to have my camera in the right place at the right time.

Lots of love to you all!
